Privacy Policy
Updated September 13, 2026
This notice describes information used to provide OnLive Traveler accounts, browser worlds and website support. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@onlivetraveler.com.
Accounts and Preferences
We store your email address, username and account identifier to provide and protect your account. Password accounts store a password hash rather than a readable password. Saved information includes your avatar name, appearance and colors, biography, favorites, preferences and ignored-person choices. Account and community permissions determine which features you can use.
If you choose Google sign-in, we use identity information from Google, including an account identifier and verified email address, to authenticate or link your account. This integration does not request your Gmail messages, contacts or Drive files. Google operates its sign-in service under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Shared Worlds and Voice
Your avatar name, appearance, position, movements and expressions are shared with other participants. Presence and connection information supports room lists and world sessions. Voice is transmitted through the voice service to permitted participants when you use your microphone. Browser permissions and the app’s voice controls let you control microphone use.
Authorized administrators may monitor live rooms for moderation, including through an incognito mode that does not display them in ordinary participant lists. Connection and security records are separate from conversation audio. People who receive your voice or messages may save or share them; shared worlds should not be treated as confidential spaces.
Room Chat and Private Messages
Room messages are stored with their author, world and time for moderation. Authorized staff can review them within their permissions. Showing only messages from your current visit does not delete the moderation record. Private messages are relayed to their intended recipient and are not added to the room-chat moderation log. We do not represent private messaging as end-to-end encrypted; recipients can keep or share what they receive.
Support Conversations
Website inquiries store your name, email address, message and submission details, including read and delivery status. Full-content notifications are sent to our support mailbox. Replies and related incoming and outgoing correspondence can be retained in Message Center, including message content, addresses, times and delivery information. Support email uses Microsoft email infrastructure. Website inquiries are not posted publicly.
The support-mail workflow checks Inbox and Sent Items message details to identify related conversations before importing their content. It does not import unrelated message bodies or attachments. Message Center access is restricted to the designated platform account; infrastructure and email providers also process information needed to operate their services.
Your contact draft is saved in your browser tab to help recover it after a failed submission. Successful submission clears that saved draft.
Connections, Security and Audience Information
Servers process IP addresses, requests and device or browser details to deliver the service, protect accounts and diagnose problems. Restricted connection records associate authenticated accounts with the IP addresses they use. Operational logs may also contain raw IP addresses. Moderation actions, restrictions and security events are recorded, with access controlled by administrative permissions.
Audience reports estimate visits, popular pages, referring sites and approximate country or city locations. IP-location lookup runs on the server, without using your device’s precise GPS position. Estimates may reflect a VPN or shared network. The audience database uses protected IP-and-browser hashes rather than raw IP addresses or full browser signatures and excludes URL query strings. These reports are distinct from account-linked connection records.
Optional Website Measurement
The “Help improve Traveler” switch is off by default. If you turn it on, a first-party cookie with a random identifier lets us measure website visits, account creation and successful world entry together for that browser. The cookie expires after 24 hours and is not automatically renewed. This measures a browser, not a unique person.
These records include the measurement identifier, event type and time. Account creation and world-entry events can also link to your account; entry identifiers prevent a reconnect from being counted again. A protected network code supports report exclusions. This measurement does not store raw IP addresses, browser signatures or location, and is separate from the connection and audience records described above. Reports are restricted to authorized platform access.
Turning the switch off removes measurement records linked by the cookie currently available to the service and stops collection. If that cookie has already expired or been cleared, older records may no longer be linked to this browser for deletion through the switch. Cookie expiry or clearing browser storage stops further linked collection but does not itself delete records already collected. Scheduled cleanup removes events older than 30 days and browser measurement records older than 31 days. Account deletion removes account-linked measurement events; anonymous visit events remain until their browser records are removed or cleanup applies. These actions do not remove existing backups or separate operational records.
Cookies and Browser Storage
Session and request-security cookies support sign-in and protect requests. Browser storage supports preferences, reconnecting to worlds and recovering unsent edits or drafts. Some preferences are also saved to your account. Clearing site storage can sign you out or reset locally saved information. You can change microphone permission in your browser settings.
Storage, Deletion and Your Choices
Information is used for the features described above, support, security and moderation. Different records have different cleanup processes; there is no single automatic deletion period for all account, support, moderation, email and backup information.
Message Center allows the designated administrator to remove an original message, a reply or a conversation. Removing one message does not remove the rest of the conversation. Removing a whole conversation clears its stored contact details and message content from the active Message Center, while limited identifiers, status, timestamps and audit records remain. This does not delete emails already in mailboxes, recipients’ copies or existing backups.
You can edit your profile and preferences in the app, control your microphone and clear browser storage. Contact support@onlivetraveler.com to request access, correction or deletion, or help with a Google account link. We may need to confirm your identity and clarify which records are involved. A request does not itself remove information, and records held separately may require separate handling. Your rights depend on applicable law.
Providers, Other Sites and Updates
Hosting, voice, authentication and email services process information to deliver the features you use. Portals and links may lead to independently operated sites or communities with different practices. Review their notices before sharing information.
We will show revisions to this notice with an updated date. Read our Terms of Service for community-use rules, and contact Support if anything in this notice is unclear.
